John C. Lemacks, II
John focuses on employment-based immigration and handles many of the firm’s inadmissibility/removal cases—drawing on his experience as a criminal lawyer and his past removal/deportation practice.
John also handles many of the firm’s contested removal cases through his pro bono efforts. As part of the Pro Bono committee at TSM, John helps lead the firm’s community outreach and pro bono efforts in the Los Angeles area. John also helps entrepreneurs needing temporary investor visas as well as immigrant visas through the EB-5 program.
John is certified as a Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and is often asked to speak at State Bar functions as well as local and national bar associations. John earned his JD from Southwestern University School of Law where he received the CALI Award in Immigration Law in 2000. He also holds a BA in Political Science from California State University at Chico. He is fluent in Spanish, is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys slapping the electric bass on his spare time.
