She represents multinational companies and businesses of all sizes fields including technology, finance, scientific research, and defense/security in employment based immigration matters before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Department of State and Labor.
She also trains corporate human resource departments regarding immigration laws and regulations to manage foreign national personnel, including providing I-9 compliance guidance. Prior to joining TSM, Lisa was an Associate in the Global Immigration and Mobility group at Baker McKenzie in Washington, DC. She has served as the Director of Immigration Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC, the world’s largest business trade association where she worked with various members of the business community to advocate before Congress and the administrative agencies for sensible immigration policies. Lisa has also worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the Office of Counternarcotics Enforcement in Washington, DC and at Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Miami, Florida.
Lisa received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Miami in Florida, her BA from Claremont McKenna College, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Lisa is fluent in Spanish, and when not at work enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, cooking, and trying new SF Bay area restaurants.
